Shannon told me a couple days before her wedding that she did not care if it rained, she was just excited to get married. Shannon & Mike’s connection is seemingly effortless, and their personal vows were a testament to the fact that they are a perfect match. They were fully present during the entire day and ready to celebrate, not stress! A good attitude to have when you are lucky enough to marry your best friend.

This was one of those wedding days that I wish we could do again and again. I loved their fun bridal party, the energy of their ceremony sparkler exit, and the excitement of their family and friends that kept the party going all night. The event itself at Stone House at Stirling Ridge was beautiful and unique- the floral design complimented by family photos, all of the meaningful touches that Shannon’s mom planned such as a Smile Jar for the couple, and a traditional Pittsburgh cookie table baked by their family and friends in place of a cake. What made the day even better: the people, the excitement, the way Mike looked at Shannon during their first look, the way Shannon’s mom had to catch her breath when I was taking a photo of Shannon & her dad, their bride & groom entrance into the reception, and the fact that Shannon & her friends almost never left the dance floor the entire night.

Shannon & Mike are a beautiful couple and wildly in love- they made for a stunning bride and groom to photograph. But above all, they are the best kind of people. The day was full of laughter from start to finish. They are a joy to spend time with and it was a dream to be able to play a small part in their story.
