If you like hydrangeas, all things Rhode Island, and beach wedding photos, you are going to love this Shelter Harbor Golf Club wedding! We woke up on Erin & Mike’s wedding day to one of those surreal September days; the blue sky, mild temperature, all around perfect day that you pray for for your wedding. And how very well deserved after all of the planning that went into making this a safe and happy day for all. Their original wedding day was postponed due to covid, so they readjusted their plans again and again to make an intimate wedding day a reality. We started with getting ready at Erin’s family home and the guys over at the Ocean House in Watch Hill, then off to their ceremony at St. Clare’s in Westerly, over to Erin’s family’s favorite beach for some portraits, and finally off to the incredible Shelter Harbor Golf Club to celebrate!

Erin was beaming from start to finish; she was a beautiful bride and so lovely to work with. The moments of getting ready, from putting on her grandmother’s ring to doing a first look with her dad and bridesmaids, and bridal portraits at her cherished family home, are some of my very favorite photos of the day! And of course, all of the twirls in her beautiful Caroline Castigliano gown! We had to capture that joy of finally being able to wear her dream gown.

After saying I do in a personal wedding ceremony, Erin & Mike popped champagne on the beach with their bridal party before writing their name in the sand and heading off to Shelter Harbor to celebrate more! With a seated outdoor cocktail hour in Adirondack chairs overlooking the picturesque view of the golf club, and a celebratory dinner in the screened in porch, their guests were treated to an amazing evening. While covid couldn’t allow a full dance floor, the newlyweds shared a first dance with each other and then with their parents, and hopped on the dance floor one last time to dance to “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” by Whitney Houston together; Erin always dreamed of dancing to that song on her wedding day and it was a perfect addition to their intimate celebration!
