You won’t believe that this bright & airy beach wedding happened on a freezing cold day in mid November when you see these photos! Andrea & Jay’s wedding day at Newport Beach House was stunning. This venue is definitely on my list of favorites; the chic decor and bright spaces in addition to the amazing beachfront property made for photogenic backdrops everywhere you turn. Add Andrea & Jay to the mix and it was all really a photographer’s dream. Whether the fun swinging chairs outside, the glowing golden hour light, or the sunset peeking through the windows during their first dance… it was a day where each and every photo was fun to create. SO thankful that they were willing to brave the cold for a few shots because those golden hour portraits are some of my new favorites. Plus, those flower girls… ah! We all know I love photographing mini wedding guests and I couldn’t resist a few photo ops with their cute little nieces!

I was able to be half wedding guest/half wedding photographer at this event. So fun being able to photograph these two awesome clients that also happen to be my friends. They are so down-to-earth and their simple yet elegant day was a reflection of their personalities and relationship. Several adventure themed details scattered throughout the space were a thoughtful way to incorporate their love of travel into their wedding (they left the very next day on yet another amazing trip for their honeymoon!). The adventure continues for these two and their celebration was a beautiful start to their marriage.
