Getting married in the same city where you met and fell in love adds another beautiful layer of meaning to the story of your wedding day. I loved capturing Stephanie & Andrew’s winter wedding at Alden Castle: A Longwood Venue in Boston. The city holds such a special place in their relationship, and they didn’t let the cold Massachusetts winter keep them from having beautiful Boston as their backdrop. They were getting married there for a reason, so it was important to incorporate the city in the photos that will tell the story of this day for generations to come. True to their Boston roots, the guys even took the T from Hotel Commonwealth in their tuxedos over to the wedding which are some of my favorite photos thanks to my second photographer, Lex!

We loved the all-black bridal party, with tuxes and mismatched black dresses with pretty wine wraps…and the adorable flower girl & ring bearer completed the crew. Incredible colorful florals by Kerianne Nelson Flora were the perfect compliment to Stephanie’s winter bridal look and I could not get enough photos of her, such a beautiful bride (those bridal portraits on the stairs….are you kidding me!)! Soon enough it was time for their first look at Riverside Park before they officially became husband & wife at Alden Castle. The rest of the day these two spent side by side, smiling and celebrating. They were beaming with joy as were their loved ones; it was a true celebration of the sweetest couple! Their dance floor was never empty thanks to their live band Brick Park, and not only did the bride’s brother join them for “Piano Man”, but soon after the bride and groom jumped on the mic as all of their friends belted out the lyrics with them (one of my favorite shots, such dedication in their faces!).
