Rachel & Ken had to postpone their 2020 wedding and waited to get married until 2021 when they could have the big wedding day celebration that they originally planned on! They finally became husband & wife on this fun-filled day in July 2021 at The Ryland Inn in New Jersey. It was worth the wait and the party never stopped. When I first arrived to the getting ready suite, Rachel and her bridesmaids and flower girls were already dancing & popping champagne, and this joy and energy carried on throughout the entire day. It was also one of the rainiest weddings I have ever photographed! Tropical storm Elsa left us dodging puddles and hiding out under cover, but the rain certainly didn’t stop the fun. Their friends and family celebrated the newlyweds with a packed dance floor all night long. Rachel is one of my oldest friends dating back to high school volleyball, and when we went off to college she met Ken through Rutgers volleyball. It meant so much to me to be there to photograph their wedding day and see her as a bride! She looked gorgeous in her lace gown (the intricate train was so beautiful for bridal portraits!) and she was smiling from ear to ear the whole day.
