Rainy skies cleared for the most perfect June beach weather for Alex & Lea’s wedding in Asbury Park, which set the tone for an amazing day. We started out on the boardwalk for bride & groom portraits incorporating the unique artwork and old architecture (this boardwalk is one of my all-time favorite spots to photograph!) before heading over to Porta to get the celebrations underway. Their ceremony was so sweet- from Lea’s twin sister walking her down the aisle to their personal vows and all of the cheering that filled the room as they exited as husband as wife. At the cocktail hour and reception, their friends and family kept the dance floor packed and the party going well into the night while enjoying all of the delicious food and drinks that Porta had to offer. All you future brides out there- you are going to have to check out their vendors at the bottom of this page- their venue’s food and fun party atmosphere are second to none! Asbury Park is the perfect place for the artistic Jersey shore bride (and if you are a little bit of a foodie like me…then, you will really love it!).

I can’t get enough of the soft, romantic details like Lea’s BHLDN gown and shoes, and her perfectly flowy braided hair that coexist with the creative, unique energy of Porta & Asbury Park. I truly loved being able to document their day as it unfolded…every step of the way was grounded, beautiful, and SO much fun.
