This engagement session was one of those shoots that I just could not wait to upload and start editing after shooting! New York was SO good to us that afternoon. While it was a windy and cold November day, Shannon & Mike were total troopers, and that beautiful fall evening light was amazing to shoot in as it illuminated all the fall colors in the park.

I was in love with their cozy fall style which really added to the overall feel of this shoot. It also helped that Shannon & Mike are such a fun couple to be around- I know that so many people in their lives are absolutely thrilled that they are going to make it official! Their happiness was palpable, and they made it such a joy for me to capture this exciting stage in their lives together.

We found quiet pockets of the park that we had all to ourselves, but also incorporated the energy of NYC happening all around in some shots too. There is just something about focusing on one story in the midst of so many others that speaks to me during city shoots!

You’ll be seeing more of Shannon & Mike in 2018 when I document their wedding day at Stone House at Stirling Ridge! Their venue is gorgeous- cannot wait for all of the beautiful memories to be made next September! For now, enjoy these highlights from our afternoon together in Central Park.
