At the very end of the night, Kaylie and Brian said that they wouldn’t have done a single thing about their wedding day differently. Their New England wedding at Beauport Hotel in Gloucester was beyond beautiful- classy nautical details, shades of blue and green, Beauport beach cruisers, a BHLDN gown, and simple white bouquets made the artist in me so excited to get creative as I saw Kaylie’s vision come to life. But most of all, I was so excited to capture the two of them on this day that they had been waiting on for what seemed like forever, because they are truly perfect for one another. Kaylie & Brian are awesome and said they trusted my judgement for what would tell the story of their day best, so I let my creativity run wild! We went over to Good Harbor Beach for portraits following their church ceremony and created some of my favorite photos ever, despite some crazy weather of a sky that changed every 5 minutes and 20 mph winds (I love how the wind made the bridesmaids flowy blue dresses look like waves!). Their awesome bridal party was SO patient with me and played along with all of my ideas- from footbridges to beach cruisers and all that is in between, they brought fun and energy to every moment and the photos are proof. And since that aforementioned wind became a part of the story of the day, I had to get a sunset photo of Kaylie & Brian when the whipping wind was at it strongest to let it play with the skirt on her gown!
Their wedding was a blast from start to finish. Whether family, childhood or Stonehill College friends, everyone went all out during the reception celebrating the newlyweds, and never left the dance floor thanks to their amazing band. You may also recognize a few of my favorite familiar faces since I captured Kaylie’s brother and sister-in-law’s wedding earlier this summer! We just dearly missed their beloved pug, Abe, who was featured in their engagement session and wish that he could have been a part of the fun too since he loves to pose for the camera! 🙂
Thank you Kaylie & Brian for trusting me to capture this beautiful day for you, I was so beyond honored to be there.
Enjoy some of my favorite highlights from their nautical wedding in Gloucester.
WITH LOVE,
LAURA
