This at home family session in the backyard is such a beautiful way to bottle up those nostalgic summer memories. Bare feet in the grass, playing outside after dinner before the sun sets. I love how an at home family session gives more of a glimpse into everyday. The things your little one loved at that age and parts of your routine. For this session, my friend Maria was inspired to capture her daughter’s love for bubbles and playing wiffle ball during this particular summer. We also explored their garden, played on the porch, roasted s’mores and let her little girl run free in the yard. It was so much fun and felt more like a playdate than a photoshoot! It is such a great way to keep your kids comfortable and acting more like their true selves. I love how she styled their outfits; simple jeans and overalls (and those cute pigtails!) to give a more casual and playful feel. There are so many possibilities to personalize your photos to be true to you with at home family sessions no matter the season! Enjoy a few of my favorite photos from our fun evening together.
