I have never seen a turnaround in the weather forecast quite like this day. Meredith & Nick got married in beautiful Duxbury, MA at the Duxbury Yacht Club, right on the water. Early on in the week, we prepared backup rain plans awaiting Hurricane Dorian’s arrival. We were ready for strong winds, gray skies, cold weather, and a lot of rain. This bad weather jumped around the forecast which changed seemingly minute to minute, but we were prepared and were not going to let this get in the way of all of the fun! The morning of the wedding, the girls were busy getting ready at Meredith’s family’s home, and suddenly the sun came out. The rain stopped. High winds started to wind down to a nice breeze. Almost as if it was perfectly timed to let the celebrations begin…

We now had a picture-perfect day for a wedding by the water on our hands! They shared a private first look and we took photos by the water before heading over to the venue to make it official. The bridal parties arrived by boat to the ceremony and walked down the dock in place of a formal aisle. I loved the photo of Meredith & her dad making their way down the dock, such a memorable father-daughter shot! And their little ring bearer was adorable during the ceremony… he was too cute sneaking a few snacks after his moment in the spotlight while sitting with his grandparents!

This kind-hearted couple deserved the perfect day and they ultimately got it. Although, I don’t think even Hurricane Dorian could have dampened the spirits of this couple and their loved ones. Their celebration was unique, personal, and so tastefully done. Cheers to Meredith & Nick! Thank you for letting me into your lives to capture this momentous day.
