Shannan & Alex’s intimate Ocean House wedding day is perfect inspiration for those who dream of a small yet elegant wedding. They chose to invite their closest family & friends to this iconic Rhode Island wedding venue for their wedding ceremony, followed by cocktails and a dinner party to celebrate the start of their next chapter together.

A little bit of October rain didn’t stop us from wandering the incredible grounds of the Ocean House! After Shannan & Alex met in the herb garden overlooking the water, we took portraits with the iconic hydrangeas on the lawn, and walked the boardwalk down to the beach and back. Soon, loved ones gathered on the seaside terrace for a ceremony overlooking the ocean. Shannan was absolutely glowing as she walked down the aisle with her dad! Such a sweet moment. I was in love with her stylish, minimalistic bridal look, and her removable sleeves were such a fun addition.

Before long, it was time to celebrate the newlyweds with cocktails and a dinner party reception. The incredible lush florals by Michelle Jeanne that decorated the seaside dining room were the perfect fall accent to the coastal design of the Ocean House. The room was incredibly beautiful aglow with candles amongst the flowers as guests entered the reception. As the night unfolded, loved ones toasted the newlyweds, sharing well wishes and memories of the bride and groom. Each and every part of their Watch Hill wedding day was elegant and beautifully designed with intention. I love to photograph intimate weddings and was so honored to be there with Shannan & Alex!
