There were always golden retrievers in my home growing up, so I understand how much of a part of the family your dog can be. They are the furry, four-legged family member who shows unconditional love. Maybe they were your first “baby” before kids arrived. Or maybe you got the dog to help your child make friends. Or, you might just be dog people and can’t have a home without one running for the door when you walk in! Whatever the reason…they are a part of your story too. 

During this lifestyle nursery session, we had beautiful morning light pouring through the windows and one very alert and curious baby ready for his photo shoot! The mountain themed nursery designed by mom and dad was so much fun to photograph.

You’ll see fleeting moments captured and a LOT of laughing. Rare moments when everyone is together and disconnected from their phones. Babies that are growing too fast and the little bursts of sibling love that make the difficult days worth it. You’ll see smiles that we only got because we made a fart joke and some unbelievably adorable kids fashion.

My goal is always to capture the simple but powerful moments that you don’t want to forget. I look for big yawns, the way baby cuddles up against their parents, funny moments with older siblings, and those sweet, curious eyes looking out at the world. This year was full of beautiful moms-to-be, excited big brothers and sisters, and the cutest, most snuggly little newborns.

Molly & Matt, as individuals and as a couple, are as good as it gets. They are hilarious, genuine, kind, and definitely know how to have fun together. Their beautiful fall wedding day was so clearly a direct reflection of this. Full of lighthearted fun, huge smiles, hilarious yet heartwarming speeches, a tireless dance floor, and a room packed full of loved ones who were thrilled to celebrate the undoubtedly perfect match Molly & Matt have found in one another. 

This engagement session was one of those shoots that I just could not wait to upload and start editing after shooting! New York was SO good to us that afternoon. While it was a windy and cold November day, Shannon & Mike were total troopers, and that beautiful fall evening light was amazing to shoot in as it illuminated all the fall colors in the park. 

The stars aligned for us this past weekend for Marie & Pete’s engagement session in Falmouth on Cape Cod and the photos prove it! A blend of rustic fall colors with gorgeous Cape Cod ocean landscapes created the most beautiful backdrop for these two who were clearly meant to be together.
