Charlestown is such a beautiful location for family photos in Boston. We took advantage of one of the early, beautiful days as summer turns into fall to capture this session and had so much fun keeping up with these two little ones! Love the summery spirit of this family session in Bay Head, New Jersey… the golden glow, beachy hair, and all of those soft summer colors. A fun trip to the tulip farm with friends! The Wicked Tulips field in Rhode Island is such an incredible & colorful sight to see, and this sweet girl blended right in with her pink rain boots that matched the flowers. Their bloom season is coming up soon this spring!

I love the uniqueness of each shoot with lifestyle newborn sessions inspired by the baby’s nursery and their family. This sweet girl was quite the cooperative little model for me and I loved incorporating their furry family member, Lucy, into the shoot as well for some family portraits.

I could not get enough of their adorable missing teeth and crazy flyaway hairs from the wind. They were busy showing off their cartwheels, running races in their sundresses, and searching the beach for shells. The full family photos from this session are some of my favorites as well- it was such a gorgeous night down the Jersey shore and we soaked in that glowy evening sunlight. Such a beautiful crew! The ocean brings out a wild, innocent energy in kids that can’t really be reciprocated elsewhere, which makes it the perfect setting for a lifestyle session. The images we captured from this sibling and mom & me session are truly some of my favorite photographs ever!

There were always golden retrievers in my home growing up, so I understand how much of a part of the family your dog can be. They are the furry, four-legged family member who shows unconditional love. Maybe they were your first “baby” before kids arrived. Or maybe you got the dog to help your child make friends. Or, you might just be dog people and can’t have a home without one running for the door when you walk in! Whatever the reason…they are a part of your story too.
