Getting married in the same city where you met and fell in love adds another beautiful layer of meaning to the story of your wedding day. I loved capturing Stephanie & Andrew’s winter wedding at Alden Castle: A Longwood Venue in Boston. The city holds such a special place in their relationship, and they didn’t let the cold Massachusetts winter keep them from having beautiful Boston as their backdrop. They were getting married there for a reason, so it was important to incorporate the city in the photos that will tell the story of this day for generations to come.

When I think back to Jan & Liam’s wedding day at Omni Parker House in Boston, the first thing that comes to mind is how Jan was absolutely glowing from start to finish. I honestly don’t think I caught her without a smile on her face the entire day, and it was such a pleasure to be able to capture that genuine happiness and excitement.

Kaylin was a bridesmaid in one of my previous weddings so I was thrilled to reconnect with her and her husband for their maternity session. It was such a beautiful fall day in Boston so we wandered our way through Beacon Hill for that quintessential Boston vibe and walked over to the Boston Public Garden. The famous ducklings even made their way into the session.

You won’t believe that this bright & airy beach wedding happened on a freezing cold day in mid November when you see these photos! Andrea & Jay’s wedding day at Newport Beach House was stunning. This venue is definitely on my list of favorites; the chic decor and bright spaces in addition to the amazing beachfront property made for photogenic backdrops everywhere you turn. Add Andrea & Jay to the mix and it was all really a photographer’s dream. Whether the fun swinging chairs outside, the glowing golden hour light, or the sunset peeking through the windows during their first dance… it was a day where each and every photo was fun to create.

After we captured portraits by the ocean immediately following their ceremony at the Watch Hill Chapel, these two pulled away in their Porsche in the drizzling rain with a just married sign on the back. We took a few more shots as they drove off and a man standing on the side of the road asked if we were shooting a commercial. It was THAT beautiful. But we weren’t shooting a commercial; it was a real life, as good as it gets, kind of love story.

At the very end of the night, Kaylie and Brian said that they wouldn’t have done a single thing about their wedding day differently. Their New England wedding at Beauport Hotel in Gloucester was beyond beautiful- classy nautical details, shades of blue and green, Beauport beach cruisers, a BHLDN gown, and simple white bouquets made the artist in me so excited to get creative as I saw Kaylie’s vision come to life. But most of all, I was so excited to capture the two of them on this day that they had been waiting on for what seemed like forever, because they are truly perfect for one another. Kaylie & Brian are awesome said they trusted my judgement for what would tell the story of their day best, so I let my creativity run wild!

This was one of those wedding days that I wish we could do again and again. I loved their fun bridal party, the energy of their ceremony sparkler exit, and the excitement of their family and friends that kept the party going all night. The event itself at Stone House at Stirling Ridge was beautiful and unique- the floral design complimented by family photos, all of the meaningful touches that Shannon’s mom planned…

I could not get enough of their adorable missing teeth and crazy flyaway hairs from the wind. They were busy showing off their cartwheels, running races in their sundresses, and searching the beach for shells. The full family photos from this session are some of my favorites as well- it was such a gorgeous night down the Jersey shore and we soaked in that glowy evening sunlight. Such a beautiful crew! Enjoy my favorite highlights from their lifestyle beach session.

The ocean brings out a wild, innocent energy in kids that can’t really be reciprocated elsewhere, which makes it the perfect setting for a lifestyle session. The images we captured from this sibling and mom & me session are truly some of my favorite photographs ever!

Kelly & James’ wedding was a genuine and joyful celebration of the things they value most in life; their love, family, and friendships. They honored these values with a personalized ceremony officiated by James’ best friend Vince, a fun bridal party that was ready to celebrate alongside them all night long (they really went all out singing and dancing, especially when Backstreet Boys came on), and sweet parent dances that invited all parents and children to join them on the dance floor.
